Serious September, Part III

The serious September is compromised a bit with no morning runs on Monday through Thursday. But these days are "made up for" with extremely good sessions with the weights in the afternoons. Friday sees a morning run followed by a great and heavy sessions with the weights on Friday to conclude the workweek.

The questions from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors finally come in and we spend the Tuesday evening ResourceScout meeting dealing with the questions in advance of sending them to our corporate lawyer. Things are starting to get very interesting!

Person J_VKPI and I debate whether to go out this week on Friday night or Saturday night, but we run out of time and default back to Saturday night.

By 8:15 am on Saturday I've alread run 4 miles (including some intervals) and ridden the the 16 mile Aquarium ride (including some more intervals). I go on to do the laundry, wash and wax the truck, watch the US Grand Prix qualifying, run other errands, and get down for about an hour afternoon nap. Ruby and I work on the answers to the questions from the Los Angeles County Counsel and when we are happy, I sign the letter and she agrees to drop it off. I later get out for a good long walk in anticipation of a night out.

Person J_VKPI is on time tonight and we proceed to a club in West Hollywood. Tonight the music is pretty darn good, the place is somewhat crowded, and a number of acquaintances are present. Most notable among the acquaintances is Person F_F (who I speak only a few words with and he gets the idea). The CYIEG (cute young indeterminant ethnicity girl) is back and I stare into her eyes as much as I can. She has her hair cut short where the natural roots are starting to show but it doesn't help me in determining her ethnicity. (Not that it really matters.) But I don't go anywhere near her for fear that the paramedics will have to be called again. I can see that there are offers and introductions coming, but I head them off with the recently-used big smile, head shake method and it works even if a few people are more persistent than others. There seem to be more offers and introductions being readied today as well as more people politely or inadvertantly laying hands on me as they squeeze through the crowd today. I'm laying down for sleep at 3:15 am on Sunday morning.

On Sunday just after 7 am I get up and get out for a walk - stopping at the store for the newspaper and other supplies. I relax and read the newspaper and watch the US Grand Prix before getting out for a decent Aquarium ride again. I spend Sunday afternoon shredding old documents and organizing my life at home (in anticipation of the expected changes). I get in a great workout with the weights as I start off the final week of 5's with a bang!

Because it has been a long weekend with no nap on Sunday, I'm in bed and finishing off the LA Times by 9 pm. The lights go out for sleep near 9:15.

I'm up at 5:15 am on Monday morning and at my desk and working for Northrop Grumman by 6:15 am.
