Happy New Year 2003!

Thursday and Friday at Northrop Grumman are productive days. There are very few people around to interrupt me and so I put my head down and make progress. (One of my new years' resolutions being to quit wasting so much time and become more productive.) I also get out for a couple of good 5 mile runs and start back into lifting weights after a 5 day break to rest ligaments and tendons. There's a resourcescout meeting on Friday night where I debut the new, but unfinished, adoptions site.

Saturday sees a session with the weights, a good 26 mile bicycle ride, and some cleaning/maintenance activities around the house. I also get in some work on the current art project prior to getting ready to go clubbing. Though the crowd at Club Asia this month is a bit below average in size, it seems that everyone who is present is a friend or acquaintance of mine. Person W, Person Ray, Brandon (visiting family during Christmas break from New York, Joe, Paul (who stole ChiChi from me), Person M_P, and Peter are present as well as others who probably don't have a diary designation. Towards the middle of the evening Person M_P is not feeling well so I volunteer to drive him to his apartment (that he shares with his sister). As I'm driving home I consider going back to Club Asia, but I decide against it and I'm laying down for sleep just before 2am.

When I wake up on Sunday morning there are two phone calls that I've missed from Brandon at 2:30am saying, "Call me ASAP". When I finally reach Brandon it turns out that he was too drunk to drive and wanted a ride. But he waited around and sobered up enough to drive when he couldn't get hold of anyone.

The rest of Sunday is spent reading the newspaper, cycling, watching parts of football games, rollerblading, looking for more roses, and walking the dog. The last bit of the sore throat and swollen glands tends to hang on longer than I wanted. This leaves me in a somber mood for a part of the day.
