Trading Cards

Trading cards are big these days. We've all heard about kids (and adults) trading cards of superheroes, NASCAR drivers, baseball players, and other sports and entertainment figures. You may even have heard of (or seen) the set of Serial Killers trading cards. Well, because I'm enthusiastically working away on Saturday before the 4th of July, I came up with some sets of trading cards that we will probably be seeing this year.

Guests of Springer
A face shot (or maybe an action shot) of the guest on the front with selected facts on the back. Selected facts could include reason they are going on the Jerry Springer show, employment (like this would be anything but blank), and marital status. (Does "troubled and slipping fast" count as a marital status?) The sad thing about these trading cards is that the subjects of the cards cannot read the back of the cards.

Superplayers of Twister
Photos of the subjects taken from the annual Twisters Players Convention. Players describe their first time playing Twister, their most anxious moment ("What happens if it comes up Left Hand Green?"), and the total amount of time that they had to stay away from playing Twister due to a Twister- related injury.

Drag Queens of West Hollywood
A photo of Princess Gemini on the front and a selected quote on the back, such as, "You be my Prince and I'll show you the twins". A photo of Ann Tacid on the front and vital facts on the back, such as the number of outfits that she has in pepto bismol pink. Others could include Miss Melba Toast (as tacky as her name), Jen der Twist, and Ann Droginy.
